Mr. Kinukawa holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Tokyo (Japan) and a Master of Laws (Asian and Comparative Laws) degree from University of Washington, School of Law (USA). He is a qualified lawyer in three different leading jurisdictions, namely Hong Kong, Japan and The State of New York.
While practicing law in Japan, Mr. Kinukawa has gained substantial experience in handling litigation (both civil and criminal cases), bankruptcy proceedings, inheritance and family law matters, commercial transactions, as well as corporate law matters.
While practicing law in Hong Kong, Mr. Kinukawa has gained extensive experience in advising Hong Kong clients on Japan-related real estate and corporate investments matters. He has also advised many corporate and individual clients from Japan, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam in international transactions and overseas investments. In particular, Mr. Kinukawa has much experience in advising individual clients in wealth planning, tax planning and inheritance planning in relation to their assets located in both civil law and common law jurisdictions.
