Fred is the founder and Senior Partner of Fred Kan & Co. Kan graduated in 1964 from the University of Toronto in mechanical engineering and in 1967 in law.
Rix has extensive experience in arbitration, litigation and disputes resolution in the construction and engineering industries while he was a chartered quantity surveyor.
Edward has become our Partner since 1987 and is the Head of our Litigation Practice. He has over 25 years experience in all aspects of real property litigation and commercial litigation and has been involved in advising several headline cases in Hong Kong.
Rentaro is our head of the firm’s Japanese practice. He is responsible for advising Japanese clients in Japan, Hong Kong and Mainland China on Hong Kong laws.
Richard has over 20 years’ experience in the following areas of practice: corporate, securities, capital markets, merger and acquisition, takeover, venture capital, private equity investment, foreign direct investment and regulatory compliance.
William’s practice areas involve corporate and commercial laws, civil litigation, trusts, inheritance and probate.

Brian has more than 35 years experience as a specialist commercial and civil litigator with a legal practice extending to defamation, administrative, town planning and environmental law.
Yasuhisa holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Tokyo (Japan) and a Master of Laws (Asian and Comparative Laws) degree from University of Washington, School of Law (USA).
Carol's practice focuses on litigation involving clinical negligence claims, professional negligence claims, insurance matters, commercial and real property disputes.
Ada has extensive experience in handling commercial and real estate matters including drafting of various types of commercial agreements, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, conveyancing and leasing of residential and non-residential property.

Laura is a practising solicitor. She worked in leading company secretarial firms advising clients on relevant Cayman Islands and Hong Kong company law for several years prior to joining the legal profession.
